Service & Support Engineer

Qualifications:
  • 3 Years computer network related working experience
  • Working knowledge of computer network protocols and topologies
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft NT/2000 server & BackOffice products, NetWare 3.x, 4.x, 5.x, 6.x & UNIX
  • Working knowledge of LAN based messaging systems
  • Working knowledge of Windows 9x, Windows NT, Windows 2000, XP, Macintosh System 9.x, X, OS/2 & UNIX (Solaris & Linux)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft application family and other popular PC & Mac applications
  • 4-Year degree or related working experience preferred
  • High level computer languages experience preferred MCSE, MCNE, MCPS, CNE, CCNA, CCDA and other related certification preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Implement LAN based solution using Microsoft NT/2000 server, NetWare 3.x, 4.x, 5.x & 6.x
  • Computer network installation, service & support
  • Desktop computer installation, service & support
  • Trouble shoot computer network & desktop computer
  • Telephone / Remote service & support
  • Requirements: Detail-oriented, self-managed, high-energy, fast-learner and excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent communication & people skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Travel frequently in the Chicago metro area and occasionally outside the state. Able to work at nights, weekends & holidays Able to be on call 24-hour a day, 7 days a week
  • Able to keep work environment clean & organized
  • Clean DMV, drug, & criminal records
